A Brief History
About 4 years ago, my wife became interested in her family tree and her heritage. There have been many times since that first day that I have seen her frustrated beyond belief ( mainly by me and my computer foul-ups). IE. disappearing trees and fouled up backup copies.
I have also seen her absolutely elated at the discovery of relatives who have accurate details, documentation, and pictures that she didn't have or was searching for over a long period of time. Although this is probably not the most intense or accurate family tree that has been done, it has brought her a great deal of satisfaction and pride that she has accomplished so much.
I have watched as the number of names in the tree has grown, and grown and grown. We both thought it was a great achievement when she reached 1000 names. I know that getting that many people only served to intensify her desire to find more. And find more she did!!!!!!!!!!! She is currently past the 5500 mark and still digging just as hard. We have added as many pictures as we could and I have done a lot of touching up of the older pictures that have needed work. Many look almost as good as the day they were taken.
It has been frustrating at times to see the effort she has put into her family tree when she was having a hard time finding someone in particular, or when she got conflicting information from different sources. I hope you will find it interesting to delve into the rich history of her family tree.
